Terms of Service

Last updated October 18, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Friendship Contract (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app or website you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. It’s a joke, legally

Friendship contracts, claims, coverage, quotas, policies and everything else in the app are humorous social agreements. None of them are legally binding, and nothing in the app is insurance, a financial product, or legal advice.

2. You must be 18 or older

Friendship Contract is for adults only. By using it you confirm you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher). We may ask for proof and we remove accounts of anyone under 18.

3. Your account

Keep your login details private and tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what is posted from it. One person, one account; don’t create accounts for other people or with someone else’s identity.

4. Zero tolerance for abuse

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don’t post or send anything that is hateful, sexual, violent, threatening, harassing or spam; don’t impersonate anyone; don’t share someone else’s private information without permission; and don’t use scripts, bots or multiple accounts to inflate contracts, rankings or quotas.

You can report any post, reply or person (tap ⋯ on a post, “Report” under a reply, or the menu on a contract or profile) and block anyone. Blocking ends your contract with them and stops all contact. We review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and remove the accounts that posted it.

5. Your content

You own what you add. You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display and transmit it to the people you share it with, only so the app can work (for example showing a hangout photo to the friends on it). That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in short-lived backups. Only upload photos and text you have the right to share.

6. Copyright and the DMCA

We respect copyright and expect you to as well. If you believe content in the app infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to our designated agent:

Include: a description of the copyrighted work, where the infringing content is in the app (a link or screenshot), your contact details, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn’t authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We remove infringing content promptly, notify the person who posted it, accept counter-notices, and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

7. No AI decisions, no biometrics

We don’t use artificial intelligence to make decisions about your account or to generate content, and we don’t collect biometric data or use facial recognition. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect.

8. Notifications and messages from us

Notifications are off until you turn them on and can be switched off per type at any time in Me → Notifications. We don’t send marketing messages. The only emails we send are about your account or in reply to you.

9. Ending things

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Me → Delete my account. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, and we may discontinue the app; if we do, we will try to give notice so you can save what you want.

10. No guarantees

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, while it is in early testing. Features may change and, despite backups, data could be lost. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for content other people post, or for friendships that lapse. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law where you live.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. Questions: esgabay@gmail.com
